Chancellor to fund endowed chairs; Mizzou Advantage to fund new hires

New faculty hires to be funded by Mizzou Advantage

Mizzou Advantage has set aside matching, recurring funds to hire 25 faculty members over the next 5 years.  These matches, up to $50,000 each, will be for positions that strengthen the emerging networks within Mizzou Advantage areas.

The expectation is that most hires will be interdisciplinary.  They are intended to create additional connections both within the networks and between existing clusters of strength. On average, 4 to 5 hires will be made annually, totaling 25 new hires at the end of 5 years.

A series of presentations on structures and strengths of the emerging networks is planned for the fall.  The presentations will be open to the entire campus.  Further discussion will take place at that time; interested faculty are encouraged to attend.  Dates will be announced in late summer or early fall.
