In 1867, the University of Missouri became the first public university in the nation to establish a college specifically for the preparation of teachers. Today, the MU College of Education continues its rich tradition of inspiring the enterprise of learning, teaching and discovery. As a comprehensive, interdisciplinary college, our research strengthens the whole of education while preparing the next generation of educators, administrators, technologists, counselors, psychologists, librarians, policy analystsand more.
